At the show, visitors will be able to walk through different marine environments

A raft of new brands has been added onto the London Boat Show exhibitor listing, as the 2015 event at the Excel Centre begins to take form.
Sunseeker International, Princess Yachts, Jeanneau, Broom, Cockwells, Pearl Motor Yachts, Haines Marine, English Harbour Yachts, Chris-Craft, Williams Performance Tenders and Ribeye have all been added to the list of confirmed names. They will join the likes of Beneteau and Fairline, who were announced earlier in the year.
A number of smaller importers are also planning to display their craft, including Midway Boats, the Cheshire-based dealer for Finnmaster.
The RYA stand will see the return of the Active Marina Experience, offering workshops from expert instructors and a chance to refresh your boating knowledge.
Icom, Garmin and Eberspacher are among the many equipment manufacturers also confirmed their attendance. A total of 450 exhibitors are now set to display at the show, with around 400 boats on view.
Running from January 9-18 at the ExCeL centre in London’s Docklands, the show should see the organisers deliver on their promise to bring the excitement back to the annual event.
Murray Ellis, managing director of the London Boat Show, told MBY: “We want to create the unexpected; something visitors won’t be prepared for or have experienced before. The Show has a brand new creative direction and the new, eye-catching attractions will bring this to life and surprise our visitors.”
New attractions will include a 4D experience (imagined above), allowing showgoers to test out six sea environments, with the atmosphere, temperature, smell, wind flow and soundscape of the tropics, the Arctic and lots of locations in between.
Guests to the London Boat Show will be greeted in dramatic fashion, as a new ‘wall of rain’ will frame the entrance. Sensors in the floor will stop the torrent as visitors approach to ensure they don’t get wet. Those who don’t mind getting wet can try the On The Water area, where kayaking taster sessions will be laid on.
Just inside of Excel Centre, you will have the chance to plan your day using the digital information wall that shows information on all the key events, discussions, training seminars and celebrity appearances going on. This screen will also be used to broadcast live updates from the Volvo Ocean Race. And don’t forget to vist the MBY stand for the best subscription deals.
